March 25, 2003 - Protesting Richard Perle Speech
at American Enterprise Institute
(20 of us outside and 4 inside)
Two days later, per our demand, and under Congressional and Press Scrutiny, he resigned as chair of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board.  Next goal -- get him off the Board entirely, and the other 8 other war profiteers as well!

June 29, 2004 - Ralph Nader vs Israel Lobby at
The Muslim Vote in 2004 presented by Council in the National Interest

Ralph Nader right, running for President averages 26% of the Muslim vote.  He himself is Lebanese.  It was at this event he said that the US President and Congress are just "puppets" of the puppet master -- the Israeli Prime Minister.

Palestinian-American Dean Ahmad for Libertarian Party candidate Michael Badnarik.  Also speaking were CNI's Eugene Bird, Nihad Awad of CAIR, Hassan Ibrahim of MPAC and Amb. Edward Peck.

November 19, 2004 -- Counter-Protest to Pro-War Iranians
The Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization's (MEK or MKO), a terrorist Muslim-Marxist group, got about 800 - 900 participants to their rally at Freedom Plaza, facing off with a dozen counter protesters further down the way. MEK is lead by a husband-and-wife team whose photos were featured on a dozen or more posters. Amnesty International in 2005 accused the group of torturning some of its dissident members.  At least one anglo politico who looked at lot like Senator Lincoln Chafee was observered there.

PMO1 is another name for MEK (MKO); this group claims it does NOT want the US or Israel to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities.

What other US-declared terrorist group could run a "missile" on a truck around and
around Pennsylvania Ave?  Being friends with NEOCONS helps! .

"Hands Off Iran" was the Counter Protest Theme

May 14, 2005 - Infiltrating Free Muslims March Against Terrorism
A couple of us went to check out the crowd and speakers to see if they really supportered freedom and democracy or if it was totally a neoconservative front group.  The tiny crowd mostly made up of speakers, their families and the media.  Some sincere, some obviously neocon dupes.

Kani Xulan of American Kurdish Information Network, an anti-war activist, shocked the "Free Muslims" organizers by calling for the U.S. getting out of Iraq as the best way to end terrorism there.

Ross Pourzal of Alliance of Progressive Iranians in hat, behind one of the worlds richest Iranians - allegedly a monarchist -- in suit.

May 28, 2005 - Leaflet and Counter-Protest Neocon-Manipulated
"Iran Freedom Rally"
About 600 attended the Iran Freedom Rally sponsored by Jerome Corsi, co-author of the John Kerry smear book "Unfit For Command." His Iran Freedom Foundation quite obviously supports war against Iran.  His keynote speaker was the neoconservative "Dark Prince" Richard Perle who has stated repeatedly military action against Iran "may be" needed.

This peacenike was calm when he got his photo taken with Perle in back ground but lost his temper when Perle got up to speak and started screaming at Perle.  It wasn't clear to audience WHAT he was yelling about until three more of us started chanting DON'T BOMB IRAN!  That was a message the whole crowd DID agree with.

Perle plots while angry Iranian inadvertently helps Perle advanced the neoconservative agenda of U.S. and Israeli dominance of Middle East oil, resources and people

Counterprotesters -- Sure hope Corsi's ears were burning!

June 16, 2005 - White House Rally to Support Rep. John Conyers
Who Delivered Signatures of 500,000 Americans who want Answers on the
"Downing Street" Iraq Memo

Reg Keys, father of British soldier who died in Iraq.  In protest, this May
he ran for the seat in Parliament held by England's Tony Blair.

Protesters support Conyers as he tries to get the White House to take the signatures.

Frustrated Free Republic protesters support Bush in back ground.

August 9, 2006 Forum at U.S. Congress
"Consequences of US Nuclear Policy: from Hiroshima to Iran"
Speakers included two "Hibakusha" - survivors of the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan in 1945; Nickolas Roth, Director of Education and Advocacy for the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation; Michele Boyd, Legislative Director for Critical Mass' Energy Program; Simin Royanian, of Women for Peace and Justice in Iran.  Moderator Carol Moore of DC Antiwar Network; also endorsed by the Washington Peace Center.   Organized by Hiroshima-Nagasaki Committee.

December 8, 2006 Rally at Brookings' Saban Institute
To protest Hillary and Bill Clinton speaking at a private conference with pro-ethnical cleansing Israeli Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Pro-Jimmy Carter chants prominently featured. See video.

March 12, 2007 "Congress, Stand Up to AIPAC" Protest
Seventy people protest American Israel Political Affairs committee undue influence on U.S. Congress and promotion of wars vs. Palestinians, Iraq and Iran. See video1 and video 2.

After harassing protesters taking photos close to their faces, this AIPACer put a chokehold on a woman who objected and both ended up getting arrested. Charges quickly were dropped.

June 10-11,2006 "The World Says No to Israeli Occupation!" Mobilization
in Washington, DC

Protesting the 40th anniversary of Israel's illegal military occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip. See Photos of June 10 Metro advertising posters protest organizers paid for in the Washington metro (top). A pro-Israel organization, in typical overkill fashion, countered with the vicious posters below it.  Of course, the truth is that the Israelis teach their children to consider the Palestinians as inferior and prepare them from an early age to accept compulsory military service where their duties are to keep Arabs safely imprisoned in defacto concentration camps.  So it's hardly surprising that some percentage of Palestinians are driven to take up arms to defend themselves from such aggression. Nor is it surprising they encourage their children to commit to the struggle. The responsibility lies first and foremost on Israel to stop it's oppression and withdraw from all land illegally confiscated since 1948.  See photo montage and video.
