June 10-11,2006 "The World Says No to Israeli Occupation!" Mobilization Protesting the 40th anniversary of Israel's illegal military occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip. See Photos of June 10 Metro advertising posters protest organizers paid for in the Washington metro (top). A pro-Israel organization, in typical overkill fashion, countered with the vicious posters below it. Of course, the truth is that the Israelis teach their children to consider the Palestinians as inferior and prepare them from an early age to accept compulsory military service where their duties are to keep Arabs safely imprisoned in defacto concentration camps. So it's hardly surprising that some percentage of Palestinians are driven to take up arms to defend themselves from such aggression. Nor is it surprising they encourage their children to commit to the struggle. The responsibility lies first and foremost on Israel to stop it's oppression and withdraw from all land illegally confiscated since 1948. See photo montage and video. |
